The Palestinian Union for Chemical Industries was established as a specialized sectoral Union operating under the umbrella of the General Union of Palestinian industries, and is one of the most prominent industrial unions representing a vital and growing sector in the Palestinian national economy. The union has been operating since 1997 within the industries authority, and its law was approved by the law of the General Union of Palestinian industries and specialized unions No. 2 of 2006, to continue its work as a non-governmental institution.
The federation represents enterprises operating in the chemical industries, which include: rubber, paints, detergents, cosmetics, agrochemicals, pharmaceutical, batteries, glass, adhesives, and building chemicals industries.
