About PFI
PFI was established in 1999 to represents the Palestinian industrial sector through its sixteen specialized industrial unions. It is governed by the Palestinian Federation of Industries and specialized industrial unions Law No. (2) for the year 2006.
PFI plays a key role in the development of policies aimed at promoting the industrial sector and fostering economic growth. Additionally, it supports the enhancement of a business- enabling environment in Palestine.PFI works to support its the members within the specialized industrial unions and protect their interests.
The Palestinian industrial sectors represented by PFI include the industrial unions of food, construction, stone and marble, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, metal and engineering, textiles and garments, leather, paper and packaging, handicrafts, plastic, wood and furniture, precious metal, renewable energy, and aluminium. The industrial sector in Palestine includes approximately 20,000 registered companies in the West Bank and Gaza, with the industrial unions serving their members to support the goal of a competitive industry.
