The Palestinian Renewable Energy Council was established on January 1st, 2014, under the registration number ([/15/0000104). The council came as a result of local efforts specialized in the field of renewable energy. These efforts lead the council to, later on, be a part of the Palestinian Industrial Council board of directors.
Moreover, the council continued its national duty efforts to empower the renewable energy industry, its policies, and regulations. The efforts emphasize protecting companies and factories that are members of the council, especially those which are involved in the renewable energy Industry.
The Palestinian Renewable Energy Council is also considered a member of the Palestinian Industrial Council – referring to clause 15 of the Palestinian General Industrial Council Law.
The membership was granted by the Ministry of National Economy under the registration
number (14/000011/22) starting from 1/1/2022
