The Industrial Modernization Center is the technical arm of the Palestine Federation of Industries (PFI). It works on developing and upgrading the Palestinian industrial sector by providing technical support to industrial enterprises based on their needs, through integrated development programs.
The objectives and functions of the Industrial Modernization Center can be summarized as follows:
- Research and Studies: Preparing and implementing diagnostic studies for various industrial sectors and assessing their needs for technical services, as well as the requirements of factories within these sectors.
- Data and Information: Collecting, classifying, and organizing data and information related to the Palestinian industrial sectors, presenting them through the Union’s available platforms, and ensuring continuous updates.
- Project Management: Managing technical projects, particularly in the fields of quality management and business development that serve Palestinian industries.
- Technical Services: Conducting field visits to industrial companies, including diagnostic studies (gap analysis to identify development needs), technical auditing and evaluation, and providing tailored recommendations for upgrading and modernizing these enterprises.
- Bridging Gaps: Providing technical support to bridge development gaps, and assisting companies in qualifying for the application of industrial and quality standards through IMC staff and specialized consulting firms.
- Training Programs: Designing and managing training programs for the qualification of new graduates—particularly in engineering disciplines—and integrating them into various industrial sectors.
